Photos From Australia – Digest: Burleigh Heads Beach & Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

こんばんは。ほたかです。今回もまた写真まとめをば。
バーレイヘッズ・ビーチと国立公園の写真と、ローンパインコアラ保護区の写真になります。

Good evening. Here is the third digest photo album of Australian scene: Burleigh Heads Beach & National Park and Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

ビーチへ行った1月13日は素晴らしい晴天、しかし波は強烈。軽量ほたかは迷惑な漂流物となって
他観光客の間を回遊しておりましたとさ。

一方、ここ数日はずっと雨が降りっぱなし。コアラ保護区へ行った時も降ったり止んだり。
傘を差しながらの撮影も大変なもので、一時カメラが壊れかけて焦りました（汗
今度は晴れた日、冬の日に行きたいです。なんたってギネスにも載っている世界最大のコアラ保護
区。これは存分に眺めまわすしか..

そうそう。バーレイヘッズ国立公園なんですが…南国の山林の中、至る所に人工的に乱雑に切り崩
された石が大量に転がっていたのですよ。道中すれ違った観光客の話では、第二次世界大戦の最中、
アメリカ軍が日本軍の侵入を阻止するために築いた要塞の残骸なんだそうな。
残ってるんですねぇ…美しい観光地にも。

The day I went to the beach, Jan. 13th, was very fine day. However the waves were strong enough to beat and flow away me.. I was an annoying flotsam for the other tourists :/

While recent more than 3 days it has been raining.. the day I visited Lone Pine, Jan. 25th was also shower day.. I tried to take pictures with holding umbrella, but it was hard work! For a while something was wrong of my camera and it was out of order. Well, I’d like to visit there again in sunny day and winter day.

I received kind and encouraging comments on my photos.. Thank you so much! Of course I’ll continue to go outside and find many fantastic dreams!

ps. In the Burleigh Heads National Park, there are so many rocks which seem to have been cut roughly and artificially. According to a tourist we met on the way, they are the remains of fort by American army to protect from Japanese army during the World War II. It is quite regret thing to see such things in this beautiful place…
